New Life Ceramics Courses

Courses are done on a pay as you go basis so you only pay for what you do. We charge 20 for a minimum 2 hour session although if you want to continue, 3 hours is 25, 4 hours 30 etc. That includes all clay, glazes and firing. We only charge extra for porcelain. We have 3 electric wheels, a small slab roller and two kilns so work gets through fairly quickly. The studio is the converted double garage of our home with wood burning stove, tea and coffee facilities, and toilet, so we are really flexible on timings. Generally we start a morning session at 10am and an afternoon at 2pm. We also do evenings starting at either 6pm or 7pm. We only have a maximum of 4 people at a time and beginners are very welcome. A small class means people get individual attention.

Children can attend these sessions if accompanied by a responsible adult, who can join in as well! Contact me for details of vacancies.

"Hi Arlene,
Just wanted to say what a great time I had last week. The girls booked a three hour class for my birthday. We all had such fun and I can't wait to see our finished products! I would love to book another day for my sister's birthday, just the two of us. Thankyoooooou soo much. Emma.x"

"Just wanted to say a big thank you to Arlene for the pottery workshop that I attended with three friends in January 2016. It was absolutely brilliant and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone thinking of giving it a go. Arlene makes you feel completely at ease and relaxed and with both hand building and pot throwing, she gave the perfect amount of help and instruction while still allowing you to explore your own ideas and get creative. Very therapeutic and relaxing and we all left with a real sense of wellbeing."

"Hi Arlene, thank you for a lovely day. I learnt more in a few hours than two terms of night school. Marion."
